Nature’s flaws, artisan’s touch—
where imperfections become the masterpiece.
finishing process
Each live edge wood slab is inherently unique, shaped by nature’s craftsmanship with distinct grain patterns, knots, and organic contours. No two slabs are identical, making every piece a one-of-a-kind creation.
Our expert artisans carefully examine each slab, considering its natural movement, character, and imperfections to enhance its beauty. Through meticulous crafting, sanding, and finishing, we bring out the rich depth of color and texture while preserving the authenticity of solid wood.
The result is more than just a surface—it’s a statement piece, expertly crafted to highlight nature’s artistry at its finest. Perfect for live edge tables, wood countertops, floating shelves, and bespoke solid wood furniture.

air drying
Our slow, natural wood drying process allows live edge slabs to acclimate gradually, minimizing the risk of cracking, splitting, and warping. By preserving the wood’s structural integrity, this method ensures maximum stability and durability while maintaining its rich textures, natural grain patterns, and organic beauty.
The result is a long-lasting, high-quality wood slab that retains its authentic charm—ideal for live edge tables, countertops, floating shelves, and bespoke solid wood furniture.
kiln drying
After 2–3 years of air drying, each wood slab undergoes vacuum kiln treatment to achieve the ideal moisture balance. This advanced drying process uses low temperatures and controlled pressure to extract moisture gently and evenly, preventing internal stress, warping, and instability.

Unlike conventional kiln drying, vacuum kiln treatment preserves the wood’s strength, enhances its rich tones, and maintains natural grain clarity. By carefully conditioning each slab, we ensure exceptional durability and longevity, making it the perfect choice for live edge tables, countertops, floating shelves, and custom solid wood furniture.

flattening
After drying, wood slabs naturally move, often leading to warping and uneven surfaces. To counter this, we use advanced heat-pressing technology to carefully flatten each slab while maintaining its original thickness.
Unlike traditional methods that rely on excessive planing and material removal, our process preserves more of the slab’s natural form and depth. This results in a thicker, more stable, and long-lasting wood slab with minimal wastage, ensuring each piece retains its strength, character, and durability.
Perfect for high-quality furniture, countertops, and statement pieces, our slabs are designed to stand the test of time.
shaping & sanding
This is where your wood slab truly takes shape. After years of natural conditioning, each piece undergoes expert refinement, design, and craftsmanship to highlight its unique beauty. Our skilled artisans carefully assess every slab, selecting the best techniques to enhance its character while ensuring lasting strength and durability.
From bowtie inlays to epoxy fills, we meticulously refine each wood slab, reinforcing its structure while preserving its organic form. These premium finishing methods not only enhance the visual appeal but also ensure stability, longevity, and resistance to warping. Every handcrafted slab is built to stand the test of time—perfect for custom furniture, tabletops, and statement pieces.

finishing
We meticulously apply Saicos Hardwax Oil in stages at 240, 400, and 600 grit, ensuring an exceptionally smooth, high-quality finish. This multi-step sanding process allows the hardwax oil to deeply penetrate the wood, enhancing its natural beauty, grain definition, and rich texture.
The result is a silky, refined surface that feels luxurious to the touch while offering durable, long-lasting protection. Designed for easy maintenance and upkeep, it ensures a hassle-free, low-maintenance finish—perfect for live edge tables, countertops, and premium solid wood furniture.
